Public Transport based walk suitable for new walkers, with Steve Rawlins.
A repeat visit to some of Tameside's finest drinking establishments..
We'll meet at the Palatine pub which is opposite Hadfield station from 12:00 onwards and start the walk at 13:00. Walk Leader to meet at pub/start of walk
If you would like to join us for a lunchtime drink in the Palatine please either get the 11:18 or 11:46 from Piccadilly to Hadfield or if you'd just like to join us when the walk starts please get the 12:18 from Piccadilly.
We'll then head out of Hadield and make our way past Bottoms Reservoir and into Tintwistle where we'll visit pub number 2 which is the popular Bull's Head
As soon as we're satisfactorily refreshed, we'll then head towards Hollingworth Nature Reserve passing through some lovely moorland/woodland and farm fields before heading towards the Waggon & Horses - pub number 3.
Finally we'll then head through/around Stalybridge before finishing at pub number 4 - the Buffet Bar at Stalybridge Station.
The walk is very gentle but you may wish to wear gaiters as one or two of the farming fields can be a little muddy at times.
It will get dark around 5pm-ish so please bring a headtorch just in case
