Public Transport based walk with Stephen Smith.
A little walk from Hebden Bridge to Sowerby Bridge and back again with a bailout point at the latters station just under half way round.
We start by bouncing over the hill from Hebden to Luddenden Dene and then track down the valley and over the shoulder of the hill before dropping down to Sowerby Bridge, whereupon the excellent Jubilee Refreshment rooms and two trains an hour beckon for those leaving us.
We then climb up onto Norland Moor and enjoy the views from there before dropping down just to the south of the excellently named Triangle, crossing the River Ryburn and climbing up to near Crow Hill, thence a drop down to Crag Vale, climb up to Erringden Moor and finally the drop back down to Hebden.
It'll be a long-ish walk for the time of year and we have three sections - perhaps a quarter of the walk - on quite uneven moorland path where fast progress won't be possible so a brisk pace for the rest of the walk will be needed.
