Public Transport based walk with Sarah Peppiatt.
A challenging route connecting Disley to Buxton via some familiar paths, some less walked ones and a very pretty and unusual route up on to the Shining Tor ridge. Along with the advertised mud there should also be some glorious views if the weather's like it was on the recce.

This a pretty ambitious route for the time of year so you'll need to be prepared to walk at a brisk pace throughout the day to make sure we finish in the light.
Last couple of miles are on good tracks/suburbia so we should be OK even if we're running late but bring a torch just in case.
As the title indicates it was pretty soggy on the recce so gaiters, waterproofs, canoes may come in handy during the day & you'll need good waterproof footwear unless you like walking in wet socks.
Bring plenty of food and fluid with you and obviously warm layers and waterproofs.
