Public Transport based walk with Aidan McGrath.
Linear walk from Greenfield Train Station to Newhey Metrolink Stop. The walk heads along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal through Uppermill and onto Diggle village where we leave the canal and walk over Hunters Hill to the Castleshaw Reservoirs. From there it's over Ox Hey Top and through the village of Denshaw to the Rooden and Piethorne Reservoirs. The walk goes onto the village of Newhey and the walk end at Newhey Metrolink stop.
P.S. Suitable footwear please as it is very wet and muddy in sections.

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

09:45: Meet at Manchester Victoria for the train at 09:57. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Combined Train and Metrolink ticket £8.20. (Available from all Metrolink ticket machines).
09:57: Train departs for the walk start at Greenfield Station.
10:25: Walk starts at Greenfield Station.
Return from Newhey Metrolink. Every 12mins
Waypoints: Huddersfield Narrow Canal, Uppermill, Diggle, Hunters Hill, Castleshaw Reservoirs, Ox Hey Top, New Years Bridge Reservoir, Denshaw, Rooden Reservoir, Piethorne Reservoir, Ogden Reservoir.
