Hey Diddle Diddle, The Cat & The Fiddle (Nearly!)

Public Transport based walk with Luke Burley.

12.5 mi

800m

A linear walk from Whaley Bridge to Buxton, which weather permitting, will deliver fantastic views across the White Peak.

We leave the station and move quickly onto the Midshires Way, heading uphill and making our way over both Cats And Shining Tor.

After lunch we head onto the moorlands for some exciting ascents and descents, passing through woodland and crossing various streams along the way.

We then continue past Errwood Reservoir, before beginning the last leg into Buxton and the station/pub stop.

Note this walk has no bail-out points.

We will aim to walk at a reasonable pace, but please bring a headtorch incase we happen to finish the final part after sunset.

Conditions are sure to be pretty wet and muddy underfoot, so please remember appropriate attire.
