Part Two of the Pennine Way at last - Hadfield to Marsden!

Starting at Hadfield we go along the Longdendale Trail to Crowden, then up along the valley onto the Moor and then Black Hill, then heading across via some unexpected dips to Wessenden Head Moor and then down into Marsden, going onto the Kirklees Way for the last stretch.

Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.
Itinerary is below - click station links for map and further information.

09:00: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 09:18. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

Suggested ticket:

GM Rail Ranger £6.40

Single Marsden to Greenfield £5.90

09:18: Train departs for the walk start at Hadfield Station.

10:00: Walk starts at Hadfield Station.

Return from Marsden Station. 17:28, 18:29, 19:28, change at Stalybridge for Trains to Piccadilly

This is a linear walk - car usage not advised due to distance between start and end locations, best car parking option is at Manchester Piccadilly.
