Scramble No 4: Torside Gully and Dowstone Clough. Bleaklow

Public Transport based scramble with Tom Whitehead.

10.6 mi

It is essential that you have completed a scramble before (such as my Wildboar Clough scramble in May) due to the technical nature of the first scramble.

A grade 2 scramble and a grade 1 scramble in the same walk! Combined with a lot of off-piste walking across Bleaklow. And a somewhat unorthadox (i.e very steep) descent.

Please note the following:

1 - the approach to the first scramble is very overgrown and thus shorts are not reccomended

2 - as with any scramble, gloves are reccomended

3 - the terrain is very hard-going in places. Despite it's shortness, this is a tough walk

4 - please contact me via trw_whitehead@hotmail.co.uk if you have any queries.
