A varied zig zag to the north of Bolton, taking in various reservoirs, a half-timbered tower, a climb up to a dubious stone circle on Cheetham Close, a 10ft tall steel heron and a Strawbury Duck!

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

09:45: Meet at Manchester Victoria for the train at 10:00. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Return to Entwistle £6.00, Northern Duo Return ticket (for 2 people) available for £9.00
10:00: Train departs for the walk start at Bromley Cross Station.
10:30: Walk starts at Bromley Cross Station.
Return from Entwistle Station. 15:34, 17:17, 17:48, 18:48

Drinks in the Strawbury Duck, afterwards. If driving to the start, car parking is available at Bromley Cross Station, please arrive in good time to meet the train. Some paths may be muddy, so gaiters are recommended.
