Public Transport based walk with Andy Buckley.
A linear walk from Marple to Glossop with a variety of terrain including canals, tracks, fields and rough paths over undulating ground with fantasic views from Mellor church and Coombes rocks. Pub stop approximately half way through the walk in the beautiful and secluded village of Rowarth at the idyllic Little Mill Inn (with its own water wheel and railway carriage) from here we carry on with the climb up to Coombes Rocks and then we start the descent into Glossop and the end of the walk.
Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport
We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

09:45: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 10:03. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Rail Ranger: £5.90
Tram/Train Ticket: £8.20
10:03: Train departs for the walk start at Marple Station.
10:35: Walk starts at Marple Station.
Return from Glossop Station. 16:37, 17:07, **:07, **:37
Waypoints: Bottoms Hall, Mellor, Rowarth, Far Slack, Coombes Rocks, Whitley Nab.
Use Toilets on the train.
This is a linear walk with the stations being on differnet lines and it is not suitable to drive to the walk start.
