Public Transport based walk with Dean Beaden.
Leaving Macclesfield station, we make our way up to Teggs Nose country park, on the edge of the Peak District.
From here we make our way down the valley and into Macclesfield Forest. Once we have made it through, we will then begin our ascent of Shutlingsloe.
After admiring the views and having a well earned break, we will make our way down into Wildboarclough, as we continue to follow the Shutlingsloe path.
We then link up with the Gritstone trail, which we follow until we arrive for a brief pub stop, at the Leather Smithy, which is set in the heart of Macclesfield Forest, next to Ridgegate reservoir.
After sampling a beverage here, we will continue down through Langley and onto the beautiful and apparently very haunted, Sutton Hall.
Once we have had our fill of food and drink here, we will casually finish the final mile or so, along the canal, back towards Macclesfield town centre.
