Public Transport based walk suitable for new walkers, with Katherine Hamlett & Stu Edwards.
Walk Leaders meeting at walk start
A lesser used starting point for MAD Walkers but worth a trip out to wander the tucked away green spaces and waterways on the fringes of Stockport. This is a tranquil route along both the Peak Forest canal and the meadows of the River Tame and provides a glimpse of the industrial heritage that has since been reclaimed by nature. We finish at the Railway Inn - a stone's throw from the station.
