Public Transport based walk with Andy Buckley.

This walk takes in We start the walk by a gentle stroll along the Rochdale canal before we start the climb up through the derilict cotton mills and woods up to the hamlet of Jack Bridge where there will be a chance to partake in a quick drink at The New Delight Inn before heading off over to the crags overlooking Hebden Bridge where we start our descent via Heaptonstall village. 

Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.
Itinerary is below - click station links for map and further information.

10:00: Meet at Manchester Victoria for the train at 10:15. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

Suggested ticket:

Return to Hebden Bridge: £9:80

10:15: Train departs for the walk start at Hebden Bridge Station.

11:00: Walk starts at Hebden Bridge Station.

Return from Hebden Bridge Station. 15:42 and then every hour.

Waypoints: Rochdale Canal, Delph, Blackshaw Head, Jack Bridge, Heaptonstall  

Toilets::

Please use the toilets on the train, there is toilets on the station but these are limited.
