Public Transport based walk with Ravi.
A linear walk on the edges of Peak District, crossing the rivers and valleys of the Goyt and the Etherow, taking in woodlands and high moorlands, with views (weather permitting), back across Cheshire and into the Dark Peak areas along the way.
Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport
We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

09:30: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 09:49. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Off-peak day return to Strines (£5.40)
09:49: Train departs for the walk start at Marple Station.
10:10: Walk starts at Marple Station.
Return from Strines. 1606, 1806, 1906, 2033
Waypoints: Marple, Peak Forest Canal, River Goyt, Etherow Country Park, Ernocroft Wood, Hollywood End, St Thomas Church, Brook Bottoms, Strines
- There are no toilets at the statin so please use the ones at Piccadilly or on the train
- For drivers parking is available at Marple station which is on the same line as Strines
- Walk leader to meet at the start (Marple station)
