Hale & the Mersey Way

Public Transport based walk with Gavin.

10.0 mi

A bit of an unusual start to this walk because the easiest way out there is the Liverpool airport bus. Once there, the first hour is unfortunately a bit of drag along a road (we might cheat with another short bus journey!) but then we get to the pretty village of Hale and a bit of its history. Lunch is around here, before we follow the mainly flat coastal Mersey Way around past Liverpool Airport, where we can wave off a Ryanair flight or two! We pass Speke Hall later, now in the hands of National Trust, where I hope to have a look around afterwards. It's a short walk back around to the airport.
