Public Transport based walk suitable for new walkers, with John Ireland.
A nice winter afternoon walk from Broadbottom to Glossop, going up into Mottram Village, past an old Roman Fort and an ancient fortress on Mouselow Hill before descending into Glossop for a beer at the Star Inn.

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

12:30: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 12:46. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Return to Glossop TBC
12:46: Train departs for the walk start at Broadbottom Station.
13:10: Walk starts at Broadbottom Station.
Return from Glossop Station. 17:37, 18:07, 18:37
Waypoints: Hillend, Warhill, The Hague, Melandra Castle, Dinting Vale, Mouselow Castle, Hilltop, Howard Park, Glossop
No toilets at Walk Start, use the ones on the train.
Car drivers can park up at Broadbottom and then get a direct train back there from Glossop at the end of the walk.
