A gently hilly walk from Hadfield over to Stalybridge, where we can end up in the infamous Stalybridge buffet bar.

Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.
Itinerary is below - click station links for map and further information.

10:00: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 10:18. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

Suggested ticket:

10:18: Train departs for the walk start at Hadfield Station.

11:00: Walk starts at Hadfield Station.

Return from Stalybridge Station. TBC

Waypoints: Longdendale Trail, Bottoms Reservoir, Tintwistle, Arnfield, Pennine Bridleway, Lees Hill, Hollingworthhall Moor, Wild Bank Hill, Ashtonhill Cross, Bower Fold, Stalybridge

Extra:

Remember to bring warm, waterproof and windproof clothing as it will be cold up on the moor.

Toilet and Cat at Hadfield Station, though use the toilets on train if possible. Cat can be grumpy.

Walk ends at Stalybridge Buffet Bar on Stalybridge Station - trains to both Manchester Piccadilly and Victoria available. Also buses to Glossop for Ken.
