Public Transport based walk with Aidan McGrath.
This walk is being held as part of the 2017 Greater Manchester Walking Festival and therefore is being advertised to and is open to the general public
Linear walk from Strines Station to Glossop Station. The walk leaves the station and goes over the Mid Shires Way towards New Mills, through the village and down onto the Sett Valley Trail. We leave the trail at Birch Vale and join the Pennine Bridleway for the climb up to Lantern Pike. The walk then heads through Rowarth and onto Cown Edge and Whiteley Nab. We then descend into Glossop for refreshments at the Star Inn.

We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.

08:30: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 08:46. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.

09:30: Walk starts at Strines.
