Public Transport based walk with Andy Buckley.
You have to book on this walk to attend as there is a cost of £18 as there is a christmas meal at the end. Only people who have booked on and paid will be able to attend the walk.
'Tis the time of year to be merry and jolly..... which must mean it is time for the annual Santa Walk and this year we head over towards the peak district but keeping low as we are visiting the Longendale Valley and its four reservoirs with some beautiful scenery.
We start from Hadfield railway station and head along the Longenddale trail to the dam between Rhodeswood and Torside reserviors where we cross and head back towards Hadfield via the path avoiding the Woodhead Road as much as possible before arriving at the village of Tintwistle and an appetiser of a drink at The Bulls Head before carrying on around the dam of Bottoms Reservior and its banks before heading up into Padfield and our visit to The Peels Arms where a christmas meal will be served.
If you are interested in joining us for this walk and meal bookings open on the 13th October at 7pm. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org at that time for booking and menu information. Cost of event is £18 with £2 of that going to the local Mountain Rescue Team.
There are 40 places available.
