The days aren't long at this time of year, and it is the night after the Christmas Party so it isn't too taxing.
Meet & Travel arrangements - Public Transport
We’ll use public transport from Manchester to travel to and return from the walk start/end.
Itinerary is below - click station links for map and further information.
11:30: Meet at Manchester Piccadilly for the train at 11:49. You will need to purchase a ticket prior to meeting.
Offpeak Return to Chapel en le Frith £9.80 or Wayfarer £12
11:49: Train departs for the walk start at Chapel-en-le-Frith Railway Station.
12:45: Walk starts at Chapel-en-le-Frith Railway Station.
Return from Whaley Bridge Station. 16:38, 17:36, 18:38, 19:36
Waypoints: Marsh Hall, Cockyard, Bradshaw Hall Farm, Eccles Pike, Buxworth, Whaley Bridge
No toilets at walk start, use the ones on the train. Due to the timing of the train we shall also have lunch on the train.
Drinks at the Navigation Inn, Buxworth, before proceeding back to Whaley Bridge.
As it's the shortest day, bring a torch for the last bit from Buxworth into Whaley.
