Two Rivers of Stockport

Public Transport based walk with Gavin.

10.0 mi

150m

A largely riverside route following 2 of Stockport's rivers. We quickly drop down to the River Tame and follow the Tameside Trail into Reddish Vale. We get up to the former railway and a sharp turn takes us to the River Goyt. A bit of a rest in Vernon Park and on to Woodbank Park. There's a bit of historical interest at Goyt Hall and Bredbury Hall before climbing up into suburbia.
