Regular pub socials are held on the 1st Wednesday at Knott Bar, Deansgate.

Apart from the regular pub socials, and certain other events, priority on attending most social events is given to members of MAD Walkers - for full details see our Inclusion Policy

Friday 22nd June 2018: Drinks in Altrincham

Thursday 28th June 2018: Manchester Morris Men

Description:

Like many a rural village, Broadbottom is proud of its traditional events and this years Scarecrow building contest is being rounded off with a performance of Morris Dancing. I'll bet it's more quirky than whatever else you would be doing on a Thursday evening, and refreshments provided by the Harewood arms (aka The Green Mill) may prove an additional lure.

Friday 6th July 2018: Free Live Music at Didsbury Park, with food at Olive and Vine afterwards

Description:

Papillion Promotions are putting live music on every Friday at Didsbury Park 5 - 8pm.

I will be singing current music with my choir at 7pm on the 6th June and thought it would be a good social, which Kate Atty has kindly offered to host.

You can meet Kate at the Didsbury park gates at 6.30pm (the ones nearest Disdsbury Village) otherwise if you are arriving a bit later to meet everyone inside.

If you don't get chance to eat with it being early, Kate is organising a table at Olive & Vine round the corner for 8pm. If you could please confirm if you wish to eat, by sending an e-mail to; Kate.v.atty@gmail.com.

Saturday 7th July 2018: Manchester Beer Street Party

Description:

Some of the city’s best breweries are joining forces to throw a big, beery street party this summer.

Temperance Street, home to a cluster of breweries at the heart of the Piccadilly Beer Mile, will be filled with bars and street food stalls for the event on Saturday July 7, from noon to 9pm.

Organised by New York’s Brooklyn Brewery together with local favourites Beer Nouveau and Marble, the festival will feature around 15 breweries including plenty of homegrown names and special guests.

The free, family-friendly event promises to be one of the highlights of Manchester Beer Week, a 10-day celebration of the city’s brewing, beer and pub scene.

Saturday 7th July 2018: Moon Quest

Description:

‘Moon Quest’ is a sci-fi comedy play in the tradition of classic 60’s and 70’s sci-fi fantasies, including ‘Barbarella’, ‘Star Trek’, ‘Flash Gordon’, ‘Star Wars’, ‘Star Crash’ (if you’ve never seen this film, you really should check it out) and even Hammer Film’s venture into sci fi, ‘Moon Zero Two’. This promises to be a fun show which might also give some food for thought

Friday 20th July 2018: Lancashire v Yorkshire T20 Cricket

Social to go and watch one of the biggest cricket matches in the world, Lancashire vs Yorkshire!! 

Always a fantastic atmosphere and tickets have been bought for the "Party Stand".

If you've never been to a cricket match, then I can guarantee you will have a great night.
