Wednesday 29th: 5th Wednesday pub meet - Leap Year Special!

We have that anomoly again of a 5th Wednesday in the month and for those who are interested I am planning a pub meet at The Kings Ransom, on the Bridgewater Canal, just across the road from Sale Metrolink Station.

Thursday 1st: Oliver!

Description:

In a fabulous new production, one of the most beloved British musicals ever, Oliver! is coming to the Palace Theatre, Manchester! Tuesday 6th: Karaoke Night at Lucky Voice

Description:

Karaoke night at Lucky Voice, Tiger Tiger, Printworks - price is £2.50 per person per hour. The session will be for two hours from 6 or 7pm depending on what is available at the time of booking. The decision will be made based on the majority preference. There is a choice of about 6000 songs to sing from Robbie, Queen, Pink to Rhianna etc. The organiser will try and send out the song lists in advance, so you'll be able to pick your songs in advance. Plus there is a bar/waitress service available if you want a drink and this aids your singing!

Karaoke pods are for 6-12 people and a pod needs to be fully booked to capacity, e.g. if 7 people book on then we would have to book a pod for 8 and split the difference in cost between people who have booked.

Friday 16th: The A-Z of the pubs, bars and restaurants of Manchester - A, B, C & D

Description:

Throughout 2012 (and beyond) there will be a theme of trying to visit the A- Z of pubs, bars and restaurants of Manchester. The first social will take us to the Northern Quarter covering A - D in no particular order. The places we intend to visit include Apotheca, (the) Bayhorse, (the) Crown and Anchor and Dry Bar.

Friday 23rd: MOSI Beer Festival

From the Museum of Science and Industry website: "We are delighted to be hosting our second real ale festival. Wednesday 28th: Fourth Wednesday Social @ Costellos in Altrincham

Description:

Throughout 2012 we will be having another regular social on the fourth Wednesday of each month held in different places in Greater Manchester. For March, we will be heading to Costellos in Altrincham - the Dunham Brewery tap.

Just turn up.

From 8:00pm at Costellos. The bar is very close to the Altrincham interchange for buses, trams and trains.

Friday 27th: How to Relax in Andalucia

Description:

A comedy play set in a small hostel in Southern Spain, by John Waterhouse. Directed by Darren Holness.

Peter has recently been made redundant and got divorced. He is determined to make use of his new found freedom by spending some time alone in Spain just reading and avoiding women. A small, quiet pension in Andalucia seems to be just what Peter is looking for until three backpackers arrive; Carol, the ex-girlfriend of an English gangster, Saskia, an annoyingly friendly Dutch woman and Mick, a loud-talking, hard drinking Australian. Then a curious detective from England arrives on the scene. Peter is now on a quest to find solitude and relaxation.

Saturday 28th

MAD Ball

MAD Walkers presents the Spring Ball!

Join us for a fantastic night of drinks, dinner and dancing...

Starting with a champagne reception, followed by a three course meal including wine and entertainment. Then dance 'til late with live music provided by the Fraudsters.

The tickets will be £50 each and the event will be held at the Chancellors Hotel.

Tickets are available online via BACS payment or by paying in cheque or cash at the Knott Bar. To book online, please email balltickets@madwalkers.org.uk and payment instructions for the BACS transfer will be sent through.
