Wednesday 12th: Chorlton – Chorlton Ees / Mersey Valley (evening/new members walk)
Train-based walk 1 Boots 4.5 miles Leader: Alastair
Description: A most splendid walk through Chorlton Eees and the Mersey Valley. This is an easy walk, hopefully requiring only old trainers and a small bottle of water.
Walk Start: Chorlton Green, at the ‘Horse and Jockey’ pub end. This at the junction of Whitlow Rd and St Clement’s Rd. at the very west end of Beech Road, at 7pm (postcode M21 9HS)
Waypoints: Jackson ’s Boat pub, Sale Water park, River Mersey, Chorlton Ees, Stretford Ees
End point: Likely to be the: Chorlton Green, famous Trevor Arms, or onto Argyles
Wednesday 26th: Marple evening walk
Train-based walk 1 Boots 3 miles 50m total ascent Leader: Jennifer Egan
Description: A short, pleasant evening walk around Marple, making the most of the last of summer, passing through a range of terrains including parkland, woodland area and locks. Drinks at the Midland to finish.
Meet Point: Manchester Piccadilly for train at ??? (arrives in Marple at ???).
Suggested Ticket: Evening Return to Marple £ TBC

Waypoints: Brabyns Park, Compstall Bridge, Redbrow Wood, Lower Watermeetings Farm, Upper Watermeetings Farm, Marple Locks.

Extra: Boots essential, as it may be boggy in parts. Anybody driving can park at Brabyns Park free of charge (10 minute walk from the train station). Torches may be needed towards the end of the walk. No toilets, use the train's.
