PLEASE NOTE - THIS ARRANGEMENT DOES NOT APPLY FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT WALKS OR ON WALKS THAT EXPRESSLY SAY TO MEET AT START POINT.

For a car-based walk, you have two choices - either travel to the start point and meet up there, or save petrol and car share!!

We ask that a minimum contribution of £3 is made to the driver by passengers towards petrol costs - more for walks further away.

We leave the Deansgate Locks meet point at Whitworth Street West, Manchester, M1 5LH at 9am (unless otherwise specified). Click here for a map.

On car-based walks, only the Manchester meet point time is fixed. The walk will start when all cars which left the meet point arrived. If travelling directly to the start point, please ensure you leave plenty of time!

For car sharing from the Manchester central meet point, we need people with cars to come to the meet point and offer lifts to those who need them. If there are more cars than are needed, these can be parked free at the meet point. 

The idea of car sharing is to reduce the cost for both drivers and passengers, as well as reducing traffic in the countryside!
